I’m lucky that I get to travel and do what I love to do! And while traveling is so much fun, flying gives me anxiety sometimes. Even though I’ve been flying since I was about six months old, I can’t help but get anxiety sometimes when I’m on a plane. It’s a feeling I can’t really describe but I get it from time to time. Since I was little, one of the things that keeps me relaxed while flying is reading a good book. Sure, you can watch a movie but sometimes all of that noise can give me a headache and doesn’t really make me feel as relaxed as I wanna be. There’s nothing better than getting comfy and getting lost in a good book. Well, that and a good martini!
My favorite books to read are biographies and autobiographies. Ever since I can remember, I loved learning more about people. There’s this amazing and indescribable feeling you get when someone is telling the story of their lives. Their ups and their downs. Their falls and their triumphs. It’s a lot like the excitement I get when I’m interview someone and sitting next to them, except it’s on paper and not in person.
I usually like to bring two or three books with me. Sometimes I get so into what I’m reading that I finish the books faster than I thought I would and sometimes I get antsy and love to bounce back and forth between books. The three books I’m obsessed with at the moment are:
Unbreak My Heart: A Memoir By Toni Braxton
Coming Out To Play By Robbie Rogers
Going Off Script By Giuliana Rancic
