Before girl groups like Destiny’s Child and The Pussycat Dolls, there was SWV. Taj, LeLee and Coko were a part of the one most successful and talented R&B groups coming of the 90’s. After taking a long break from the entertainment industry, the talented ladies made their return in the early 2010’s and they picked up right where they left off. With the release of their comeback album “I Missed Us” and a new reality show. On their show, the world got an up close view on the challenges of staying together as a group as well as recording new music.
I hung out with the ladies of SWV backstage after their sold out show at BB King’s in New York City. We chatted about the creation of their new album, their process working together, what their new music will sound like and more. Oh, and the ladies of SWV also taught me what a “face bath” is. You’re welcome!
